Mido Multifort Super-automatic (#0411109)
Automatic
watches are generally considered the "creme de la creme" of vintage watches and
this Mido Multifort Super-Automatic is a prime example from the early 1950's.
This lovely watch is in remarkable condition considering it is probably over 50
years of age.
The dial is a lovely deep
black & may have been restored at some point. It bears the legend "Mido multfort"
beneath 12
O'clock and "Super-Automatic" above the seconds sub dial. The lettering
and numerals are a lovely bronze colour as are the hands. The radium paint is
fairly worn as one would expect of a watch of this vintage. The hands have a
lovely elegance to them as they sweep around the dial.
This is a good solid watch and the case is stainless steel with little signs of wear and tear. The crown is big and fat and has a solid feel to it.
The rear of the case has "Mido, Multifort, Superautomatic, Switzerland, Waterproof, Rustless steel, Shockprotected & Antimagnetic" Phew !!
This lovely vintage automatic is running strong and keeps great time. It can be yours for ony £95 !!
